Training walks – 17 to 26 June 2010
Well that’s it. Training and preparation over, next step is the challenge itself.
Over the last couple of weeks we have concentrated on the steep side of Bluebell Hill and Cardiac Hill at Shorne Country park – with the aim of building up the stamina as much as possible and getting the muscles used to extended periods of climbing. We added a number of additional session in over the original training plan – tiring but, we hope, prudent.
Whether we have done enough, I guess we will find out by the end of the week. But one thing is certain, you can’t say that we (or at least most of us) didn’t try to prepare.
My next post will be after the challenge – hopefully with good news, great stories and some stunning pictures.
All I have left to say now is very good luck to all the Medway 3 Peakers.
